Biography

Shingai’s journey in business was fuelled by his passion for Africa’s development. Through Masawara Plc, a diversified Pan-African investment holding company he drives the efficient allocation of resources, to ensure the delivery of quality products and services across the hospitality, agro-chemicals, healthcare and financial services sectors.
A key focus area for Shingai is reinsurance which is still significantly under-developed across the continent. His goal is to contribute to the growth of the reinsurance industry, through GrandRe Holdings, a reinsurance business on an ambitious growth trajectory with presence in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Tanzania and Cameroon.
He currently serves on several boards across a spectrum of sectors and industries where he promotes sustainable value creation and building globally competitive brands.
